Compliance and Regulation solved for your business

Turning Obligations into Advantages™

We believe compliance and regulation can actually be the springboard for re-shaping, refining and re-energising the processes that drive a business’s purpose.

Through the expertise of our consultants, our harnessing of the latest technologies, we can not only help business navigate this evolving commercial landscape but flourish.

Turning Compliance & Regulation into Advantages

The growing demands on businesses in the sectors where we specialise only increases the pressure on them in the current economic climate.

Our role – in such significantly changed and continually changing circumstances – is not simply to provide advice that ensures businesses are, at bare minimum, fit for purpose. Instead, on the basis that Compliance & Regulation are here to stay, it is to recognise that these obligations are actually opportunities and to devise pro-active, front foot compliance programmes.

We do this by combining high-value consulting services with cost-effective delivery processes. First, our network of experts (in each case their expertise is specifically matched to the business’s requirements) identify the strategic issues. Deep understanding of technology then allows us to implement better processes.

For compliance, read transformation.

An increasingly regulated landscape, bringing with it greater public scrutiny and matching political pressures, is also increasingly likely to cast a spotlight on past activities. For these reasons Regulatory Remediation should be seen as being as important as Compliance & Regulation.

Remediation can address a regulator’s concerns about any aspect of a firm’s past business, or any that a firm has about products or processes which may have caused unintentional consumer harm. Looking backwards also offers vital learning for going forwards, demonstrates transparency and builds trust with stakeholders.

As expert remediators we have delivered entire projects or brought added insight to ongoing ones. We have helped clients to identify and quantify issues in terms of damage caused, put a value on the remediation required, and introduced the tech-based future proofing that stops this happening again.

Turning Compliance & Regulation into Advantages

In today’s tech-driven marketplace, there is no lessening of expectations while a business has to deal with the demands of Compliance & Regulation. In fact, technology has raised customer expectations. They take continuous service improvement as a given and expect faster, better and more efficient.

It means Compliance & Regulation is not just about satisfying new rules but knowing how these new rules can be a springboard for delivering better processes and programmes that match the unique circumstances of each business.

At RTM, we understand this duality. We not only advise on what has to be done, we take responsibility for programme deliverables and day-to-day resource management.

We use innovative, best of breed methodologies, we implement bespoke solutions and we do it collaboratively, flexibly and cost effectively. To deliver value and build trust.

Turning Technology into Advantages

The expectation that a business will meet new regulations and still perform better doesn’t end here. In today’s increasingly complex environment, the presumption is the business will satisfy a third criterion and do everything with the same or less resources.

This means technology isn’t an option, it’s a necessity and is why deep knowledge of the latest technology (AI, machine learning and block chain) is such an integral part of our consultancy. It is how we turn obligations into opportunities: whether that’s automating or streamlining compliance checks, introducing contract lifecycle management solutions, or dealing with large scale data discovery issues.

The results are the transformation of legal and business processes while managing the change that this inevitably has on a client’s business. It is the role of our experts to maximise and minimise the impact as appropriate.
